Who I am
Hi there! I'm Pavle.

I'm Pavle Davitkovic, a .NET engineer based in Niš. I write about the architectural decisions, performance problems and production failures that rarely fit into framework documentation.
Nearly a decade of building backend systems has taught me that the interesting part is never the happy path. It is the query that degrades at 10x the data, the abstraction that looked clean until it had to be changed, the migration that ran fine until it hit production volumes.
So this is less hype, more trade-offs. If a post helps one engineer ship something more reliable, it was worth writing.
What I write about
Five things, roughly:
- Production-ready .NET patterns: what actually survives contact with real traffic
- API and database performance, and how to measure it before guessing
- Architecture and system-design trade-offs, including the ones I got wrong
- Engineering failures and what production taught me that documentation did not
- New .NET features worth adopting, and the ones worth skipping
Tools I work with
C#
.NET
PostgreSQL
SQL Server
Docker
Azure
